Terms of use

Last updated: July 2026

These terms cover your use of the Penny website (ask-penny.co.uk) and the Ask Penny chat. By using the site, you agree to them.

What Penny is

Penny is a finance introducer and an AI money guide. We explain how things work in plain English and, when you ask us to, introduce you to a qualified, whole-of-market adviser. Penny does not give regulated financial advice or recommendations, and does not quote rates. Anything shown on the site or in the chat is general information only.

Not advice — your decisions are your own

Nothing on this site should be taken as financial, legal or tax advice, or as a recommendation to take any particular product or action. Any figures mentioned are illustrative only. Before you make a decision, you should get advice tailored to your circumstances from a qualified adviser. Regulated advice, recommendations and the actual deal come from the adviser and their firm — not from Penny.

The introduction

If you ask, we'll introduce you to a qualified adviser and pass on your enquiry details (see our privacy policy). There's no cost to you for the introduction, and no obligation to proceed. The adviser and their firm operate under their own terms and their own regulatory permissions, and any advice they give is their responsibility.

Third parties

The site may link to, or introduce you to, other organisations such as advisers and lenders. We're not responsible for their websites, services or terms.

Accuracy and availability

We work hard to keep the information here accurate and up to date, but we can't guarantee it's complete or error-free, and things change. We may update, pause or withdraw parts of the site at any time.

Our responsibility to you

To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from decisions made on the basis of general information provided here. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can't be limited by law.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms from time to time; the "last updated" date shows when. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions? Email hello@ask-penny.co.uk.
